I decided to reword the entire project from the ground up. It took me quite a while to do so, but I think the results were worth it! The game feels much better so far. I decided to make the scene changing independent from the play state this time around. I now no longer need to add a new file every time I want to make a new scene. This will (overtime) be more efficient in trimming down on file size.
